Tom is a tireless advocate of safe, effective and competitive rail transportation. He believes rail transportation is a critical ingredient for modern life, and is the key to economic growth in the 21st century. Tom leverages a deep understanding of the history of rail transportation to provide meaningful context for modern projects, policies and operations.
After Graduating Frostburg State University in 2013, Tom began his railroad career as a freight conductor with a class-1 freight railroad. He served in managerial and safety oversight positions at a commuter rail operation, and later as a policy manager for freight rail at a state department of transportation.
Tom excels at communicating and engaging with the diverse stakeholders involved with any rail project or program. He is a believer in finding the root cause of problems or issues, and solving them first. Tom been critical to projects in the following fields:
1) Railroad Asset Management (Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Maintenance)
